I personally can't wait to get my hands on this collection.  The cold winter (..and fall and most times spring..) season of Canada im sure makes me partial to all of their rich layers...and yes..idiot proof glove string ARE cool again. Thank you Rag and Bone, Thank you.

Ralph, Proenza, Isaac, Oh My!!

So as NYC fashion week has come to a close and as I am over here in Vancouver slowly battling the Olympic crowds and trying to maintain my sanity, I want to share some of my favorite looks, that some of my favorite designers (and some newbees ) cast down their runways.

The ever classic and all American beauty of Ralph Lauren..with a tough girl seventies vibe layering tweed and heavy knits with silk chiffon florals and, dare i say, fish net gloves! AWESOME!

Here is some Isaac Mazrahi...chic, sexy and fun....If this his vision of fall and winter all i know is i want to be a part of it!  Oh and did i mention the strong surge of COLOUR!!

... and of course there is Proenza Shouler... these guys are too cool for school ( ha cant believe i just said that cheesy line...but secretly i love it). Don't really think that there is more to say on that. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Funny Girl ~

Writer/comedian/actress/super fly Tina Fay is gracing the cover of the annual  Vogue Power Issue...not till March folks.  I was just paroozing over on vogue.com and they have all the photos posted (shot by Mario Testino), this photo was my favorite! (she looks beautifully stunning in all), mouse ears, a romper and the grandest of backdrops...perfection. Check out the video diary of the shoot for a nice little mid day chuckle with Mrs. Tina Fay.  "Confidence is 10% hard work and 90% delusion" TF.  I'm always a sucker for a laugh.

Alexander McQueen ~ 1969-2010

Today the world mourns the tragic death of Alexander McQueen.  His clothing year after year, season after season, displayed his talented craftsmanship and unorthadox genious; a mix of art, fashion and edge.  His fashion shows transended to more than fashion, rather welcoming his audience into a world of fantasy and surprise, allowing a peek into the mind of this creative designer.  His unique vision will be forever missed.
